The Morkie cross breed is known to live a long and happy life, with a life span of 12-15 years.
Since the Morkie is not a purebred, the breed does not have the risk of suffering from the
common genetic diseases and issues that a few of the purebred breeds can suffer from.
The Morkies are super sweet and very cute with beautiful thick soft non shedding coats.
Many people have asked me if the Morkie puppies coat grows like the Yorkies coat does.
Morkies coats can grow long and touch the ground. This is because both the Yorkie and Maltese are non-shedding.
This does take some work and you will need to brush your Morkie every two to three days and more if needed.
More Morkie owners give their Morkies a puppy cut instead of brushing and keeping it free of tangles.
If you give your Morkie a puppy cut this will make things easier on you.
However the Morkies coat is prettier when it almost touches the floor.
